History
Claude E. Lavaron III, CLI, started serving process and became a Florida Licensed Private Investigator (Florida License # A 00037) in 1974 and founded EX-CEL INVESTIGATIONS® in 1977. Mr. Lavaron is a former Florida Highway Patrol Trooper, and very active in the daily operations of the agency.
On July 1, 2008 the name EX-CEL INVESTIGATIONS® became registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
EX-CEL INVESTIGATIONS® is located in St. Petersburg, which is on the West Coast of Florida, just West of Tampa. When you contact our office, you are always greeted with our own professional personnel, who are willing to answer any questions. EX-CEL INVESTIGATIONS'® policy is to perform diligently and as accurately as possible while still staying within the agreed budget.
Judy is our office manager and has been with EX-CEL® since the first client hired our Agency in 1974. She is responsible for all the Legal Process that is received and served by our office in addition to handling the accounting. Her continuing dedication, attention to detail, and general office management skills makes her an asset to EX-CEL®.
As of January 1, 2026, EX-CEL INVESTIGATIONS® has served more than 150,000 legal documents.
